Town Board: The Town Board of the Town of Ancram does hereby give notice that the Regular Town Board meetings will now be held on the Third Thursday of every month. Any changes will be published prior to the meeting.
Emergency Services
IN THE TOWN OF ANCRAM:
DIAL 9 1 1
All 9-1-1 calls made from Columbia County are handled by the county’s emergency services department in Hudson, NY. The county EMS team will then dispatch the appropriate agency, depending on the type of emergency.
Fire Protection is provided by the Ancram Fire Company, Ancram NY.
Ambulance Service is provided by the Community Rescue Squad, based in Copake, NY.
Police Protection is provided by either the Columbia County Sheriff’s Department, or the New York State Police. The Town of Ancram does not have it’s own police department; however, a resident Columbia County Sheriff’s Department deputy is available to town residents on a part-time basis.
